Just learned about OLED technology on a course (only a very basic description). Call me stupid, and I probably am in this; I grew up in the 90s and while familiar with a lot of old tech, I really can't wrap my head around modern phones and such. Anyway. So it involves a layer of organic material to operate the diodes, right? So... is it alive? Again I can well imagine I've quite possibly given someone a good giggle and if so, fair enough, and good I guess, world needs more of those. But I'm not joking around (until/unless I know better, that is). I find the brushing off of the fact that it's organic material just... really creepy. And I wonder if it's alive. And that's the reason I started searching for the ethics of this screen technology and came here. Reason for my thought process. I once heard that an artist created a living coat as an art project and then just destroyed it afterwards. While I didn't look into it at all... it really bloody creeped me out. Not only the possibility but also the throwaway attitude toward such a thing. And so those are the lines I'm thinking along when I ask this. Apologies for asking such a thing. Did the internet searches and couldn't find the answer. This is where conversational research comes in, right? When nobody seems to be talking about something, so you just ask instead. Call me a mystical mumbo-jumbo sort or a big softy if you please (and you'd be correct on both counts) but recent technologies don't scare me so much in terms of "ooh will they start attacking us" like the normal sci-fi nonsense goes... it's more in the way of "aren't we doing something really, really horrible?" and I can never be sure if we are, and it bothers me that I don't know.

Both have some drawbacks, GoPro 11 still has that heating issue and DJI is lacking with controlling dynamic range, clouds are over exposed in dji

lets be honest.. they are walking around.. any 2022 action cam would do very well.. nobody stresses the cameras here.. the advantage gopro has image wise i can create in post with a click of a button.. i think there are no bad action kameras.. they only thing is.. if dji says it works then it works.. if gopro says it works some of it wil work and some will be fixed down the line...

talking behind camera audio is very poor... why ?... did you select stereo ?

I love the osmo action due what deliver with the price point, but this Dinamic Range on the Gopro is the seeling point for me.

not a fair comparation. Put them on the same view angle

gopro seems sharper, has more detail, better HDR (see clouds). osmo has lots of great features that gopro doesn't but if you're just looking at image quality gopro wins.

I pre-ordered the DJI Osmo Action 3, but after seeing this I cancelled my order and went to Best Buy and picked up the GoPro 11.

Dynamic range does seem a bit disappointing in comparison on the DJI. The audio difference seems more stark, but even then perhaps not so much as the price difference.

If you weren't looking at the images side by side you probably wouldn't care that the gopro takes a hot firey poo on the dji...

Yes GoPro mic sounds much better in this example, also picture shadows better in GoPro, not to mention with it being 10bit now... With protune and color grading, you'll be able to get even more out of the GoPro picture!

Osmo got better field of view but GoPro got better details & dynamic range with best stabilization
